Candidates having Bachelor’s degree with minimum required marks can apply for DMRC JE Jobs on the official website of DMRC. The applicant’s age should be minimum of 18 years to apply for DMRC JE Vacancies 2018-19. 

DMRC follows a selection process which involves a written test, group discussion and personal interview. Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their performance in written test are called for GD and PI rounds. The final selection of DMRC is done through the overall performance of the candidate.

DMRC JE Job Profile

Job profile of Junior Engineer (JE) includes maintenance of various Electricals, Electronics, Civil and Mechanical Systems and Train Maintenance, handling/ operating tower Wagon/ Shunting, stores etc. Activities of different job profiles of junior engineer are different.

Candidates are allowed to work either a day shift or night shift. Total working hours are 8-10 hours. Junior Engineer pay scale ranges from INR 13500-25520. The following table shows the different vacancies of different posts:

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) offers Junior Engineer profile in various departments. Each profile has different roles and responsibilities. Following is the detailed explanation of different job profiles of Junior Engineers:

Junior Engineer Electrical – Their main job responsibility is to maintain various electrical Rolling Stock/ Lift/ Escalators/ E&M/ Power supply etc.

Junior Engineer Electronics – They help in maintaining electronics Signalling & Telecom, Automatic Fair Collection, Rolling Stock, SCADA, Stores etc.

Junior Engineer Civil – They help in planning, designing, overseeing construction, maintenance of structures etc.

Junior Engineer Mechanical – These candidates can help in train maintenance, handling/ operating tower etc. They also do shift duty including night shift.


DMRC JE Salary Structure

DMRC recruit candidates for various executive and non-executive posts. According to the posts, salaries are offered to students. For unskilled labours, the basic pay scale starts from INR 6000. A large number of vacancies are offered by DMRC for various non –executive posts.

DMRC JE Eligibility

Junior Engineer Civil They must have three years Engineering Diploma in Civil or equivalent from a government recognized institute or university

Important Update:

  • Candidate’s age should be between 18 to 28 years i.e. (they should not be born earlier than July 2, 1987 and not later than July 1, 1997).
  • Their eye vision should be of A-1 category

DMRC JE Application Form

For appearing in the examination, it is mandatory for the candidates to fill the application form. It will be available on the official website of DMRC. Application form can be obtained by paying the application fees of amount INR 400 and reserved category candidates have to pay application fees of amount INR 150.

DMRC JE Exam Pattern

It is beneficial for the candidates to know the examination pattern in advance. The paper is divided into two types i.e. Paper I and Paper II. By solving DMRC Previous Year Question Papers students will come to know about the type of questions asked in the exam.

Paper I

  • The paper is comprised of 120 questions.
  • The total questions in the paper are of 120 marks.
  • Total time duration to complete this paper is 90 minutes.

DMRC JE Study Plan

Students are advised to make a study plan in such a way that they are able to complete the whole syllabus. For the better preparation, there should be a study plan. For making a study plan, students need to keep in mind some points:

  • Applicants must practice solving the question on daily basis. It helps them increase their speed and accuracy.
  • They are advised to download last year question paper and start solving the questions for obtaining good marks.
  • For increasing general awareness section, Candidates should read a newspaper regularly.
  • For self-assessment, applicants need to solve mock tests.
  • Candidates must plan to practice questions from books because books help in clearing doubts
  • There should be the proper time for relaxing in the study plan.

DMRC JE Result

Students can check the result through online mode only by visiting the official website of DMRC. After the completion of the examination, the result will be announced. Dates of releasing result will vary according to the post. DMRC Electronics and the Electrical result will be declared on June 9, 2017. Civil and Mechanical DMRC Result will be announced on June 14, 2017.

After clicking on the link, the result will be displayed on the screen. Students are advised to take the printout of the result for future reference.


DMRC JE Cut off

After the declaration of the result, cut off will be released. For getting admission in the university or institute students have to score more than the cut off marks. Those who are getting less than the cut off marks are not able to get admission in the university. Different posts have different cut off marks.

Cut off depends on various factors which are as:

  • Number of candidates appearing for the test
