February 8, 2021: National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) releases an official notification regarding the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) and Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) exam conduction and instructions.
The notice says that the TET and CTET is planned to be conducted for all levels of the classes. In compliance with the New Education Policy, a committee will be set up who will be taking crucial decisions for the same.
The committee will be set up under Task no. 145 that comes under the Union Ministry Education letter. The day-to-day work of the committee will be to interpret and evaluate the data related to the TET/CTET exam by States/UTs & CBSE, Candidates-wise and Question-wise information for psychometric analysis, proper execution of TET guidelines issued by the NCTE, and difficulties faced by the organizations in conducting the TET or CTET exam.
The exams are extended till class 12 carries a special aim. The main objective of this extension is to provide and offer passionate, professionally trained, and highly qualified teachers to every level of school and to all students.
Teaching Eligibility Test and Central Teacher Eligibility test are recruitment exams for the teachers to various government schools. The exam is conducted for 2 papers. These papers are divided on the basis of the level of classes the teachers are recruited.
