November 21, 2020: TET-qualified PGT/TGT/PRT teachers enjoy a good salary package with various perks and allowances. These teachers are entitled to a salary (basic pay, excluding perks and allowances) of Rs. 9,300 to Rs. 34,800. Overall, including all the benefits, they get over Rs. 48,000 as the final salary.
CBSE conducts the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) twice every year to recruit teachers in government schools. The major recruiting schools include NVS, KVS, DSSSB, PSSSB, and Army Public School. Interested candidates who apply for teaching in classes 1 to 5 appear for CTET 1 paper whereas classes 6 to 8 candidates appear for CTET 2 paper.
