The National Council of Teacher Education announced a modification in the validity of the CTET passing certificate. From now onwards, the certificate will be applicable for a lifetime.

The NCTE confirmed the news at its 50th General Assembly meeting set on September 29. This came as a relaxation to the candidates. Also, it will attract more candidates to apply for the CTET exam. Previously, the validity of the passing certificate was only 7 years.

About CTET

CTET is a national level exam conducted for recruiting teachers for the class 1 to 8. The exam is conducted in 2 phases, paper 1 and paper 2. Both the papers are of 2.5 hours each and candidates are required to clear the exam to qualify for further process of recruitment.
