CTET Guidelines related to Photo size and Signature are available at For this session, the registration for the exam will conclude on February 24, 2020. Candidates scoring more than 60% in CTET 2020 will be issued an eligibility certificate by the authorities.

CTET Exam 2020 Registration Process

Before we talk about the steps involved in the registration, there are few documents that must be kept handy, they are:

  • Scanned image of latest photograph
  • Scanned image of signature
  • A copy of Class Xth Certificate

Steps to Apply for CTET Exam:

All the aspirants can apply online for CTET 2020 through the official website of CTET. The steps are:

Step 1: Log on to CTET official website (

Step 2: Click on the “Apply Online” link.

Step 3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No/Application No.

Step 4: Upload Scanned Images of your latest Photograph and Signature.

Step 5: Pay Examination Fee by e-Challan or debit/credit card.

Step 6: Print Confirmation page for the record and future reference.

CTET Application Fee

 The Application Fee for CTET 2020 is as follows-

Category Only Paper I or II Both Paper I & II
For General/OBC candidates INR 1000 INR 1200
For SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates INR 500 INR 600

Note: However, GST will also be applicable along with the fee.

CTET Guidelines for Photograph and Signature

All the aspirants should carefully understand the guidelines for uploading scanned images of photograph and signature.

Guidelines for Photograph

  • A student is required his latest photograph.
  • Do not wear goggles in your photograph.
  • Black and white photograph are not acceptable.

Specifications for Photograph-

Size 3.5 cm (Width) x 4.5 cm (height)
Minimum Size 10 KB
Maximum Size 100 KB

Guidelines for Signature

  • The candidates should sign on a white paper with blue/black ink.
  • The signature should be clear.
  • Do not sign in capital letters.

Minimum Size 3 KB
Maximum Size 30 KB

Dos and Don’ts for CTET Photo and Signature

There are a few things that a candidate must keep in mind while appearing for CTET Exam. They are given below:

  • During the examination, applicant should sign in presence of invigilator, across the photograph.
  • Students must bring additional copies of the submitted passport size photographs, clearly depicting the image with proper colors.
  • The photograph should not have cap/hat or sunglasses.
  • Spectacles are allowed only if being regularly used.
  • Polaroid photos are not acceptable.
  • Upload your signature in the appropriate box provided in CTET Application Form in running handwriting.
  • Writing full name in capital letters in the given box will NOT be accepted as the signature. Doing so can also lead to the cancellation of application form.

CTET Exam 2020 Form Correction

A candidate cannot change or edit any information in the application form once the examination fee has been submitted. However, the aspirants will be given a chance to make corrections to their application. This correction facility will be available from March 17 – 24, 2020 and no further request for change in particulars will be entertained under any circumstances. This facility is available in online mode only.
