Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is the national level examination, conducted by CBSE, for certification of successful candidates as teachers for standard I to VIII. Successful qualification of CTET makes a candidate eligible for teaching in Central Government Schools viz. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya and others. States which do not conduct their own Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), as prescribed in Right to Education Act, consider the score of examination.
