CTET was successfully conducted by CBSE on September 18, 2016. It has been more than 10 days now and the conducting body of CTET is yet to publish the official CTET Result for the same. But, the candidates should not stress now as the CBSE is set to release the result in the coming week.  

For the current year CTET Exam took place across 851 centers and around 6.53 lakh aspirants took the CTET Paper. CTET Exam is an offline centralized exam (Pen and Paper exam) with two papers. Paper 1 is for the candidates for applying as a primary teacher and Paper 2 to apply as an elementary teacher. Both the CTET consists of questions of MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) type. And it is a relief for a lot of candidates that there is no negative marking in the exam. The CTET is of 2.5 hours containing 150 Questions in total and each question carries 1 mark which makes the weightage of Paper 1 and Paper 2 150 marks each.

How to check CTET Result?

As the result for the CTET Exam is set to be announced in the coming week. For this, the eagerly waiting candidates should gear themselves up for the declaration of the CTET Result.

As soon as the official CTET Notification will be released, you would have to follow a procedure to check the same. So here we are, providing you the steps that you can follow for checking your CTET Results:

  • The candidate first needs to visit any of the official website that are:, or
  • Next step for the candidate is to look up for the link that says, ’Results of Central Teacher Eligibility Test-Sep 2016’.
  • After locating the link of Results of Central Teacher Eligibilty Test, then you need to click on the same.
  • From there the candidate will be navigated to the login page.
  • Candidate must enter his / her roll number provided to him / her during the registration or from the  CTET 2016 Admit Card.

CTET Exam Answer Keys

A lot of you must be worried and tensed about CTET. Your brain must be popping with a lot of question like ‘When will the CTET Results will be declared?’ ‘What was the answer for that one annoying question?’ ‘Did I interpret that one question correctly?’ etc. But worry not, here we are presenting you a solution to calm your jumpy nerves with ‘CTET Answer Keys’.

You can go through the CTET Answer Keys to get a little idea about how many answers did you get right and how many you did not. These keys will help you to figure out an estimate about your performance in the exam. Through this you will be able to partially figure out your CTET Result.

CTET Score Card Validity and Applicability

  • The CTET qualifying certificate validity for appointment is for 7 years from the date of the CTET Result declaration.
  • There is no restriction on the number of attempts a candidate can take for obtaining a CTET Certificate. A candidate who has qualified CTET may also appear again for improving his/her CTET Result.
  • A candidate can get a duplicate copy of Marks Statement or Eligibility Certificate by paying the prescribed fee by way of Demand Draft in favor of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, drawn on any nationalized bank, payable at Delhi.
  • The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi.
  • CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET Result Score.
  • Schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government.  However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET.

Details mentioned on the CTET Exam Scorecard

The candidates while checking their CTET Result online will see the following details on their Scorecard or Marks Statement:

  • Roll No. of Candidate
  • Candidate’s Name
  • Mother’s Name
  • Father’s/ Husband’s Name
  • Category of the Candidate
  • Paper Type attempted (Paper 1 or Paper 2)
  • Table carrying the Subject Name with the Marks Obtained in each of the subject.

CTET Score Card Qualifying Criteria

  • It is important for any candidate to have a minimum score of 60% in CTET 2016 to get a valid score card. The CBSE board will provide score card to only those candidates who have more than 60% in CTET.
  • Candidate must note that the school management can give concessions to person belonging to reserved categories such as SC / ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc. according to the reservation policy followed by their institution.
  • Mere qualifying in the CTET 2016 examination will not ensure the recruitment as it is not the only eligibility criteria that is checked, however, CTET 2016 Examination will certainly play a vital role in the recruitment process.

CTET 2016 Cut off

The CTET Merit List gives the minimum score requirement for each category in the CTET exam. The CTET Cut off is generated soon after the declaration of the CTET Result. The cut off for CTET will be available on the official website of CTET. The candidate who score marks equivalent to the marks mentioned in the CTET Cut off are eligible to receive the CTET Certificate. The candidates can go through the following table to get an idea about the expected cutoff of CTET 2016:
