March 03, 2021: Directorate of Secondary Education of Assam has started the recruitment for Graduate Teacher Posts. There is a vacancy released for 241 posts for the Graduate Teachers (Sanskrit) in Assam. The candidates who are interested and eligible can apply online through the official recruitment website of Directorate of Secondary Education of Assam at There is no other way of application. The application process has been open since February 28, 2021 and will remain so until March 10, 2021. 

The candidates have to apply and submit their documents online for verification in order to be considered for the post. The documents will be verified by modern technology using DigiLocker. A merit list will be prepared for the shortlisted candidates after the verification. The shortlisted candidates then will have to appear in front of the Directorate of Secondary Education with the original documents, certificates and testimonials.

Assam Teacher Recruitment 2021: Eligibility

  • All the applying candidates must be between the age of 18 and 40 years.
  • The candidates must possess a graduate or postgraduate in Arts with Sanskrit as one of the subjects. 
  • Or they can have one in the Shastri Examination in Sanskrit, the highest degree of language with at least a 50% marks in graduation, post-graduation or its equivalent. 
  • With one of the educational qualifications above, the candidates must also possess a Bachelors of Education (B.Ed) from an institute recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education, and also must have passed the Assam TET for Secondary.
