Rajasthan CM, Ashok Gehlot granted permission for the recruitment of 31000 teachers in public schools. Gehlot shared the news via his twitter handle on October 14. The Chief Minister stated that around 31,000 skilled and knowledgeable third-grade teachers will be recruited. The selection process will be done after the REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher) exam is conducted.
The recruitment will enhance the employment picture of the state. It will generate employment among the capable unemployed youth who are passionate about teaching as a career. This will lead to a decreasing rate of unemployment. Aso, it will also improve the quality and reach of education.
Apart from this, as a result of this opportunity, there is a stress of handling and arranging the finances. During the process, the estimated financial burden of Rs. 881.61 Crore is to fall on the Government. After the initial 2 years, it might increase to over Rs. 1717.40 Crore per annum.
Initially, the education minister of Rajasthan Govind Singh Dotasra proposed to recruit third-grade teachers in government schools. The proposal was sent to the finance minister which finally got approved by the Chief Minister. In this light, the Education Minister also mentioned that the notification and important dates regarding the REET will be soon released.
Moreover, the CM has also approved various job creations in various public school departments. He raised the vacancies for 2489 temporary posts in 289 government graded schools. The list of various posts are shown below segment-wise:
The teachers will be shortlisted and finalized after the REET exam. Candidates who manage to score above the qualifying cut-off marks will then be selected for the next round. The next round is the final round that is known as the personal interview. The candidates who clear the personal interview round are recruited for the post.
Rajasthan Eligibility Exam for Teachers is a state-level examination conducted for the post of teachers in Government schools. The exam is held in offline mode for 150 marks in MCQs format. The REET exam is scheduled to be conducted in August 2021.
