Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for 8300 Non-technical MTS posts on its official website. The application form is available on the official website for SSC and last date to submit the application form is January 30, 2017. The exam will be conducted in multiple schedules in April and May.
SSC MTS exam is conducted for multi-tasking Group ‘C’, non-gazetted, non-ministerial posts in different central government departments and offices. Candidates with a matriculation degree are eligible to apply for MTS posts. The age limit to apply for SSC MTS is 18-25 as on August 01, 2017.
The selection to MTS is a two stage process. The first stage is a written exam which consists of 150 objective questions. Candidates who qualify paper I will have to appear in paper II which is a descriptive paper. Paper II is only qualifying in nature.
SSC MTS 2016 application process commenced from December 31, 2016. The application process will end on January 30, 2017. The schedule for SSC MTS 2016 is given below:

In order to apply for SSC MTS, a candidate must have passed matriculation or Senior Secondary Certificate Examination from a recognized board of education.
A candidate applying to SSC MTS 2016 must fall in the age bracket of 18-25 years, calculated on August 01, 2017. This means that candidate must be born after August 02, 1992 or before August 01, 1999. Candidates in the reserved category will get relaxation in age as per government norms.

The application fee for SSC MTS 2016 is 100 INR. However, women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically handicapped, and Ex-servicemen are exempted from paying application fee.
For selection to SSC MTS 2016, candidates will have to appear in a written exam. The exam consists of two papers. Paper I is objective in nature and comprises of 150 questions to be completed in 2 hours. The paper will have 4 sections – Numerical Aptitude, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General English, and General Awareness.
Paper II is descriptive in nature and will have a short essay or letter. The paper will be of half an hour duration and will be of 50 marks. Paper II could be answered in English or any language mentioned in the 8th schedule of constitution. This is only qualifying in nature.
Candidates who qualify SSC MTS 2016 will get salary between 5200 INR to 20,200 INR with the grade pay of 1800 INR.
