SSC Exam: Notification for SSC MTS to be released soon

Recently, SSC notification has been released, informing the candidates about the Multi-Tasking Staff job vacancy. The availability of the application forms for the said post will be announced by the Staff Selection Commission on or before December 24, 2016. SSC Multitasking job aspirants are required to complete the process of application by January 20, 2017.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization managed by the Government of India to recruit the pupil for various posts in the various Departments and Ministries for the Government of India.

For the selection of candidates under SSC Multitasking recruitment, aspirants need to appear and clear the SSC exam .The examination includes two papers namely Paper-I and Paper-II. Only the candidates qualifying paper –I (OMR based Test) will be called for the descriptive test i.e. paper-II. The results of paper-I and paper-II will be declared in the month of August 2017 and February 2018 respectively.

SSC MTS Exam: Eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria is important to know in a sense that it gives an idea to the candidate that whether they can apply or not for the exam. The criteria for the aspirants of SSC Exam is specified below:

  • Candidate should be the citizen of India.
  • Candidate should have passed 10Th class examination / equivalent from a recognized board of school education.
  • The lower and upper age limit of the candidates appearing in SSC Exam is 18 years and 25 years respectively.

Note: Relaxation in the age limit is provided as per the rules of GOI (Govt. of India)

SSC MTS Exam: How to apply

The candidates can commence the application process online by filling the application form, payment of required fee and submission of the application form. The online application can be filled through the official portal of the SSC. Candidate intending to apply for more than one city are advised to fill separate application form for each city.

Please note: Candidate must take the printout of the submitted form for future correspondence. No other mode of application (except online) will be accepted.

SSC MTS EXAM: Admit card

Candidate can download the admit card for SSC Exam directly from a link provided on the official portal of the SSC. The details  related to exam centre, registration number,  candidates name & roll number, exam date & timing, etc will be specified on the admit card. Admit cards for paper I and paper II can be downloaded in the month March 2017 and November 2017 respectively. It should be noted that the Admit card acts as an important document and no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without the possession of the same.

If the candidates find any discrepancy in the details of their admit card, they should contact the SSC authority quickly for the resolution of the issue.

SSC MTS: Exam Pattern and Selection

SSC Exam is based on two papers viz paper-I and paper-II. The syllabus for both the papers will be of 10th class level.

Paper-I will be OMR based test covering the four sections, namely:

  1. General Intelligence & Reasoning
  2. Numerical Aptitude
  3. General English
  4. General Awareness

The candidates qualifying the paper-I will be eligible for appearing in the paper-II. Paper-II will be a descriptive test in which the candidate has to write a short essay/letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution.

The final selection of the candidates shall be based on their combined performance in Paper-I and paper-II.
