UPSC announced NDA 2017 Exam Dates

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released exam dates of NDA at their Official website. UPSC NDA I 2017 will be conducted on April 23, 2017. The Application for NDA I 2017 will start from January 18, 2017.

The NDA II 2017 will be conducted on September 10, 2017. The Application Form for the second NDA Exam will be released on the official website starting from June 7, 2017 and ending on June 30, 2017. The result of NDA I and NDA II 2017 will be announced in May and October respectively.

All the candidates with marks above the Cutoff for NDA will be called for SSB Interview as next round of selection process.


NDA 2017 Exam Dates

The academic calendar has been released by UPSC. In the following table, NDA 2017 Exam dates are mentioned:

NDA 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for NDA 2017 is prescribed by the UPSC. The required criteria are as follows-

Nationality

Applicants must be a citizen of India/ a subject of Bhutan/ a subject of Nepal/ a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age limit

For NDA I, candidates born not before July 2, 1998 and not later than July 1, 2001 are eligible to apply.

For NDA II, students not born before January 2, 1999 and not later than January 1, 2002 are eligible to apply.


NDA 2017 Application form

Candidates are required to apply only online through the official website of UPSC. The last date to fill the Application form for NDA I 2017 is February 10, 2017 and for NDA II 2017 is June 30, 2017. NDA 2017 Application form is divided into 2 parts – Part I and Part II Registration.

Part I of the NDA Registration requires all the personal and educational details about the applicants. Part II Requires candidates to pay the Application Fee and attach their scanned photograph & Signature. The Application Fee has to be paid after completion of Part I Registration.

NDA 2017 Application Fee

The application fee for general & OBC candidates for NDA Exam is INR 100/-. The candidates belong to SC/ ST and wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from examination fee. The application fee payment can be done via following options:

  • Cash payment
  • Net banking
  • Visa/ Master/ Debit card

NDA 2017 Exam Pattern

The NDA exam paper will consist of two parts i.e. Mathematics and General Ability Test. The NDA syllabus is varied in nature. Exam for NDA – I will be held in the month of April 23, 2017 and for NDA – II is scheduled on September 10, 2017.

The subject, time allowed and the maximum marks allotted to each subject is discussed below:

NDA 2017 SSB Interview

The Written Examination is followed by the SSB Interview of all the qualified candidates. Final Merit List is based on the marks obtained by candidates in written exam and SSB interview.

Moreover, the SSB Interview is a 5 day process that includes multiple rounds of tests. The tests are designed to check the candidates’ Aptitude and measure them on the scale of Officer like qualities.

The entire process will carry 900 marks. Those candidates who will qualify the stage II are required to submit the original & Xerox copy of certificates of-

  • Original 10th class certificate in the support of DOB
  • Original 12th class certificate
