NDA 2 2019 was successfully conducted on November 17, 2019. The answer key for same is available now. All the candidates who appeared for the examination can check the unofficial answer key from the below table.

UPSC conducted the admission test of NDA 2 on November 17, 2019. The exam was held in two sessions – morning and afternoon sessions. The Mathematics was conducted in the morning shift followed by GAT in the afternoon shift.

  • The overall paper of Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT) was moderate to difficult in terms of difficulty as compared to last year.
  • The exam covered majority of topics prescribed in the syllabus of NDA 2019.
  • Those students who have successfully cleared the NDA 2019 cut off will only be called for an interview.

How to Check NDA 2019 Answer Key?

After few hours of the completion of the exam, various coaching institutes will release the answer key. The official answer key is released by UPSC. Answer key will be available in online mode only. Students can also calculate their marks before the announcement of the result. Answer keys will be downloaded along with the NDA question papers.

Following steps help students to download the NDA 2019 answer key:

  1. Visit the official website of UPSC i.e. upsc.gov.in
  2. On the website menu bar, click on the Examination dropdown button
  3. Click on the Answer Keys option.
  4. Search for the “National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination 2019”
  5. Click on the desired paper answer key link.

After clicking on the link, the answer key will be displayed on the screen in the PDF format. Students can download and take the printout of it for future reference.


How to Calculate NDA Scores using Answer key

With the help of the answer key, students can calculate their estimate marks. The Mathematics will be of 300 marks and GAT paper will be of 600 marks. Students must follow the below-marking scheme at the time of calculating marks:

  • In the Mathematics subject, for every correct answer, 2.5 marks will be awarded.
  • In the General Ability Test, for every correct answer, 4 marks will be given
  • For wrong answers, 0.33 marks will be deducted

NDA 2019 Paper Analysis

  • The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate to difficult.
  • Most of the topics in the paper was asked from NDA Syllabus.

Mathematics Section

The mathematics section is comprised of total 120 questions. The questions ware asked from the topics such as Algebra, Matrices and Determinants, Trigonometry, Calculus, Probability, complex number and Quadratic equation. The difficulty level of the Mathematics section was easy.

General Ability Section

GAT paper consists of 150 questions. The paper is divided into two parts i.e. Part A and Part B. Question in Part A section will be asked from English subject while, questions in Part B are from Physics & Chemistry, Current Affairs and Matching. The difficulty level the paper is moderate to difficult.

NDA 2019 Cut off

Cut off marks are the minimum marks scored by the student in order to clear the entrance examination. Those who scored less than the cut off marks will not be eligible for admission. The cut off marks will be decided by the examination conducting body after the declaration of result.

Following are the factors on which cut off marks will depend:

  • Number of seats
  • Number of candidates appeared for the exam
  • Level of difficulty
  • The level of competition
