NDA Admit Card 2018 will be issued online on the official web portal by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). NDA 2018 Admit Card, which is an extremely important document, will be available to be downloaded from the official website-

For NDA (I), which is scheduled for fourth week of April 2018, admit card is expected to be issued from first week of April 2018 onwards. Similarly, NDA (II) is scheduled for second week of September 2018 and admit card is expected to be issued in last week of August 2018. Like every year, NDA 2018 will be conducted twice in this year for recruitment in National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy

Candidates can choose to provide either registration ID (RID) or roll number and date of birth in order to download and print NDA 2018 Admit Card. The admit card contains various personal details of candidate along with details about exam and exam centers. Candidates must check all these details immediately after downloading the admit card. If any discrepancy is found, it must be immediately reported to conducting authority (UPSC) and necessary assistance must be sought. Admit card is compulsory for entry into examination center. The exam will be conducted in 41 cities.

NDA Important Dates

NDA 2018 Admit card can be downloaded once it is made available online on the official website- Only candidates who have successfully completed the application procedure can download NDA Admit Card 2018.

For NDA (I), admit card is expected to be released in second week of April 2018 i.e. a week or two before NDA (I) exam, whereas, for NDA (II) it is expected to be released in last week of August 2018. Dates for important activities surrounding NDA 2018 Admit Card are shown in the tables below:

How to Download NDA 2018 Admit Card?

NDA Admit Card 2018 will be issued online on the official website. This admit card is an important document which must be carried by candidates to the exam center and must be preserved till the end of admission procedure.

NDA 2018 Admit Card is available for download online from the official website of the conducting body, UPSC. Note that admit card will not be sent through email or post or fax or any other offline mode. It is mandatory to have a high quality, clear print out of the admit card, and this print out shall be considered valid throughout.

The steps to perform for downloading admit card have been given below:

  1. Visit the official website- www.
  2. Click on ‘NDA (I) 2018 Admit Card’ link. (In case of NDA (II) examination, click on ‘NDA (II) 2018 Admit Card’ link.)   
  3. Read and take a print out of important instructions before proceeding to download it.
  4. Use, either your Registration ID (RID) or Roll number to have access to the admit card.   
  5. You will be redirected to another page where you can view your NDA Admit Cards.
  6. Check all the details present on NDA 2018 Admit Card and take good quality print outs thereafter.

Details Present on NDA 2018 Admit Card

NDA 2018 Admit Card should be downloaded from the official website and details mentioned on it must be verified thoroughly by the applicants. Details present on this document can be categorized into personal details and exam and exam center details.

The following personal details are present in the NDA 2018 Admit Card:

Personal Details

  • Candidate’s Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Roll Number
  • Candidate’s Father’s name
  • Photograph and Signature (as uploaded during application)

Exam and Exam Center Details

  • Date and Time of exam
  • Venue of exam
  • Complete address of Examination Center

There are a few general instructions given on NDA 2018 Admit Card which will guide candidates, especially on the day of examination.

Documents to be Carried on Exam Day

Applicants need to make sure that they are aware of all the important documents which must be carried to the examination center on exam day. Candidates are required to carry few supporting documents, including the essential NDA Admit Card for the purpose of verification. Also, it is advisable to reach the examination centre at least 30 minutes before commencement of examination to enable hassle free conduct of the registration process.

Candidates are required to have following documents at examination centre:

  • NDA 2018 Admit Card
  • Valid Photo Identification Proof such as, Passport, Driving License, Voter ID, Aadhar card, College/School ID card
  • Passport size photographs

Note: Candidates need to carry a black ball point pen for marking the responses in answer sheet.

Discrepancy in NDA 2018 Admit Card

If candidates forget their Registration ID (RID), used for downloading admit card, the same can be retrieved by clicking on the link ‘Forgot RID?’ and follow the given instructions.  providing the details such as Candidate’s name, Father’s name, Mother’s name and Date of birth.

If there is a problem with downloading the Admit Card, aspirants are advised to clear cache memory of the browser, refresh and try again.

Immediately after the download and print of the NDA 2018 Admit Card, candidates must verify all the information printed on the Admit Card thoroughly.

In case there is a mismatch of information or if there is any discrepancy of any sort, candidates must immediately report the discrepancy to the conducting authority, which in this case is the UPSC.

While reporting the issue, it is mandatory for candidates to provide the following details:

  1. Name and year of the Examination
  2. Registration ID (RID)
  3. Roll number
  4. Name of the candidate
  5. Full postal address

Candidates who have not received their admit cards and have received no communication in this regard are directed to contact the Facilitation Counter in the commission’s office.

NDA 2018 Examination Centers

NDA entrance examination is conducted in 41 centers across the nation. Aspirants can select a maximum of three preferences as examination cities at the time of applying. NDA Examination center is allotted to candidates based on their preferences as well as availability of the center. Depending on the number of candidates from a particular location, NDA examination centers maybe added or removed.

NDA 2018 General Instructions

Candidates appearing for NDA 2018 examination are expected to follow few general instructions to ensure smooth conduct of examination. Candidates must make sure they abide by the rules of examination and follow instructions given there:

  1. NDA 2018 Admit Card is an absolute must for each session of examination. Candidates without the admit card will not be permitted to enter exam center.
  2. In case the photograph of candidates is not clear or is not printed in the Admit card, candidates must carry identical passport size photographs along with the necessary photo identity proof.
  3. Reach the examination center well before commencement of the exam (at least 30 minutes before).
  4. Candidates will not be allowed inside the examination hall 10 minutes after the start of the examination.
  5. Bring a valid photo ID proof to the examination center along with admit card.
  6. Sometimes, name of aspirants in the admit card is abbreviated due to technical constraints. There is no need to panic on this regard.
  7. Candidates must only appear for NDA exam at center allotted to them. They cannot attempt the exam at any other center.
  8. Refrain from indulging in any malpractices at the time of exam. If found to be violating rules you will face immediate disqualification.
  9. Mobile phones or any electronic devices are not allowed inside the examination hall.
