December 19, 2020: INET Exam for June 2021 Session has now been canceled due to increasing cases of Coronavirus pandemic. As for the recruitment, the selection of eligible and interested candidates will be done through SSB Interview and Medical test.

Additionally, the Indian Navy has released an INET 2020 recruitment notification, according to which application window is now open for candidates from December 18, 2020, at www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.

Applicants who wish to apply for 170 Vacancies for the post of Short Service Commission Officer in the Sub Lieutenant rank, can so by submitting the official website on or before December 31, 2020.

INET Exam for June 2021: Eligibility Criteria, and Selection Process

Applicants who are in their final year can also apply for INET Exam 2021. Due to the cancellation of the recruitment selection exam, candidates will now be selected through candidates’ marks in the qualifying examination, and SSB Interview candidates.

After the selection of eligible candidates, applicants will undergo thorough training at the following centers: 

  • Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala for Extended Naval Orientation Course; General Service. 
  • Naval Orientation Course (NOC) Regular for Naval Armament Inspectorate Cadre/Observer/Pilot/Logistics/Technical (Engineering & Electrical)/ Education, Special NOC for SSC (Executive/Information Technology).

The final merit list will be released for candidate selection, according to which applicants will be further called for an interview round.
