The Preliminary Examination of IBPS PO VI is currently underway. The first session of IBPS PO Prelims 2016 exam was conducted on October 16, 2016, while the next three sessions of IBPS PO VI Prelims 2016 would continue over three more days – on October 22, 2016, October 23, 2016, and October 27, 2016.

The IBPS PO VI Prelims exam would consist of 100 multiple choice questions divided among three sections: English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. In each section of IBPS PO Exam, candidates are required to obtain a minimum score to clear the sectional cut-off. To clear the overall cut off the candidate required to obtain a minimum total score in the IBPS PO Prelims. The candidates who qualify the IBPS PO VI Prelims online test only will be shortlisted for the Mains phase for IBPS PO VI exam.

Analysis of IBPS PO VI Exam held on October 16, 2016

The English language section consisted of 30 questions out of which 20 questions were of moderate difficulty level. In Quantitative Aptitude, the section varied from moderate to difficult level.

The difficulty level of Reasoning Ability section was moderate. According to the analysis, there were some lengthy questions from the topics such as Syllogisms and mathematics inequalities. Based on this analysis, here are some IBPS PO VI 2016 Preparation Tips for upcoming sessions.

Speed and Accuracy: The essential factor which will definitely help you make it to the merit list is maintaining speed and accuracy in the exam. Since the exam is of 1 hour i.e. 60 minutes in which 100 questions need to be solved, the candidate should try to solve the questions within a minute.

Time management: This parameter is imperative to clear the IBPS PO Exam 2016. Manage your time carefully, select the questions you solve first, keeping in mind your stronger areas of study.

Practice: Always try to solve the questions which are less time consuming. As the saying goes, “practice makes a man perfect.” Keep practicing questions till the last day. This will improve your performance and will help you tremendously with time management.

Avoid new topics: Read and revise all the topics which you are done with. Do not start reading and preparing new topics, just revise the ones you have already prepared.

Make use of memory aids: Make use of short-term techniques to revise the syllabus like Flashcards. This technique of revising the formulae and concept will help in reducing your time of going through entire syllabus.
