IBPS PO Admit Card 2016 for Preliminary Exam to be released on October 2, 2016

IBPS PO has recently released an official notification announcing the release date of IBPS PO Admit Card for Prelims. The candidates eagerly waiting for IBPS PO Admit Card are informed, that it will be available from October 2, 2016 for download on the IBPS Official website. Since a large number of candidates have applied, the IBPS PO online tests are to be conducted for 3 days starting from October 16, 2016.

IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) conducts the CWE PO 6 to provide IBPS recruitment to eligible candidates for the post of PO (Probationary Officer) in 20 participating banks that come under IBPS. Around 2 million candidates are expected to sit for the exam and the total seats that are available are 8,822 to be filled by the banks. The IBPS PO Preliminary Exam is scheduled to be conducted on October 16, 22 and 23. The Mains exam will be conducted on November 20.

How to download the Prelims Admit Card for IBPS Exam?

As the Prelims Admit Card for IBPS PO will be made available from October 2, 2016 at www.ibps.in, you are required to download the same by providing your Registration Number and Password/ Date of Birth. Also, make sure that you have successfully submitted your IBPS Online Application form before making yourself eligible to download the hall ticket.

Mentioned below are the steps that will guide you to download the IBPS PO Admit Card:

  • Visit the official website of IBPS.
  • Visit the Careers section
  • Click on ‘IBPS CWE 6 Probationary Officer Exam Admit Card link’. The link will be activated after the release of admit card
  • Enter essential details such as Application Number and Date of Birth
  • Click on Submit button 
  • Download and save admit card for further reference

The candidates should make sure to take a print out of the same, as it will be required at the time of IBPS Exam. Another reason for the print out is that the hard copy of the call letter will not be dispatched by post.

Admit card is an important document for not only this IBPS Exam but also for every examination because it contains valuable information about the exam and participant.

Your IBPS PO admit card will contain the following information:

  • Registration Number

  • Name of the IBPS Exam Center

Documents Required at the time IBPS Exam

As the exam is to be conducted from October 16, the candidates are required to follow few instructions and carry few documents at the time of IBPS Exam. Mentioned below are the mandatory documents that a candidate needs to produce and submit at the time of IBPS Exam:

  • IBPS PO Call Letter
  • Photo ID Proof

Note: the candidates are required to carry any one of the ID proofs: Passport, Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Driving license, Voter’s ID, College ID or Bank Passbook with duly attested photograph.

The candidates are required to produce and submit the above mentioned documents to the invigilator at the time of their respective IBPS exam. We suggest all the candidates to strictly follow all the instructions which are mentioned on the IBPS PO Admit Card.

Exam pattern for IBPS PO

Preliminary Exam for IBPS PO will comprise of 100 Multiple Choice Questions, which will be objective in nature and the candidates will have to answer all the questions within an hour (60 minutes). We also inform you that while answering the questions, the candidates to answer the questions carefully as there will be negative marking as well. For every wrong answer, one fourth or 0.25 of the marks will be deducted.

Expected IBPS PO Cut off 2016

As it is important for the candidates to qualify all three sections individually and have to clear the overall cut-off to qualify for Mains Exam. The cut-off marks will be decided by IBPS.

IBPS will decide PO cut off marks for each section and an overall score. Candidates must achieve the IBPS PO cut off scores in order to be called for main examination. The expected IBPS PO cut off marks will be published after conducting the exam.

What comes next after the IBPS Exam?

IBPS will shortlist the adequate number of candidates in each category depending upon the requirements. Candidates who will qualify the Preliminary and Mains phase will be called for an Interview phase. The interviews will be conducted by the Participating Organisations with the help of IBPS. The shortlisted candidates will be informed about the centre, address of the venue, time and date of Interview.
