The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is set to re-open the application process for IBPS PO 2020 due to the increase in the number of vacancies. The applicants witnessed the revision in the number for the third time.

The Institute has released the revised number of vacancies and there has been an increment of 2100 seats. Earlier, the number of vacancies was 1167 that further rose to 1417. In the fresh updates of IBPS PO 2020 vacancies, there are 3517 vacancies recorded.

Even after a high increase, the number of vacancies is still lesser as compared to the previous year’s vacancies. There were around 4336 vacancies filled in the last year. IBPS releases the vacancies list on the region-wise and bank-wise.

This year, 11 public sector banks will recruit the candidates as compared to last year’s 17 participating banks.

Since the number of vacancies has been revised, the application window will again open. Candidates who are interested can register themselves for the exam from October 28. The application process will be closed on November 11. Candidates who were unable to apply for the exam earlier can also register this time.

IBPS PO 2020: Steps To Apply For The Exam

Candidates can register themselves by following these steps:

  • Registration process
  • Go to the official website of IBPS ibps.in.
  • Click the link named 'New Registration'.
  • Fill in various credentials asked such as candidate’s name, phone number, email id and security code.
  • Registration number and password will be provided.
  • Uploading of photo and signature
  • After registration, candidates will be required to upload their photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration according to the below-mentioned dimensions.
  • The signature must be a normal one and must not be in capital letters.
  • The thumb impression must be clearly and carefully scanned. 
  • The declaration must be handwritten and the language for the same must be English.

Photograph must be a recent passport-style color picture

Signature:

  • The signature must be on white paper with a black ink pen
  • Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels
  • File size must be in between 10 kb to 20 kb 

The preferred dimension should be 200 x 230 pixels 

Left thumb impression:

  • The file should be in jpg/jpeg format
  • The dimension should be 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI
  • The left thumb impression must be on white paper with black or blue ink.
  • The file size should be 20 kb to 50 kb

File size should be between 20 kb to 50 kb 

Handwritten declaration:

  • The handwritten declaration must be drafted on white paper with black ink.
  • The file should be in jpg/jpeg
  • The dimension should be in 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI 
  • The file size should be 50 kb to 100 kb
  • Filling and payment of the application form
  • For filling the application form, enter various details asked such as basic details, educational qualification & experience and preference. 
  • After filling the form, preview the form. If there is no error. Submit the form. 
  • The next step is to pay the application fee. The candidates of the General category and SC/ST/PWBD are required to pay the fees of Rs. 850 and Rs. 175 respectively.

Over 15 Lakh candidates apply for the exam every year to get recruited in top public sector banks of the country.
