Mains Examination of IBPS PO 2016 was conducted on December 20, 2016. The Result is expected to be announced in the second week of December, 2016. The Result will be published at ibps.in. All the shortlisted candidates will be called for the next round of Selection Process that includes Group Discussion followed by Personal Interview.

An interview is the test of personality of a candidate as in a bank; it is of utmost importance, sometimes, more than your knowledge. There will be occasions when you will not know the solution to a problem but you can manage the situation with the help of simple smile and polite behavior. This is what is intended to be judged by an interview. So, what are the qualities they look for in a candidate?

  1. Get Your Documents All Set

The primary and the first task while preparing for an interview is to gather all the necessary documents and file them properly. Candidates unable to present the requisite documents when needed will be removed from the process. Hence, working on your communications is secondary to your documents.

  1. Revisit your Graduation Subjects

The major part of the technical questions will cover your graduation subjects or topics related to them. Study them well and revise them regularly. The main aim of asking questions not related to banking world but to your graduation serves a specific purpose. The Interviewers judge your sincerity on the basis of your knowledge related to your degree.

  1. Read News Paper Daily

The interviewers also expect you to be updated with the world. They expect you to be know all the major events and recent happenings all across the globe preferably in the Financial Sector. Since, you are going to be in the profession that involves monetary transactions on a regular basis-Hence, it is expected of you to be at par with the world.

  1. Know Your Strengths and Weaknesses

Most Important point while sitting in an interview is for you to know where you are good at and where you’re not. Figure out your Strengths and weaknesses. Work on both. Acknowledge them proudly. Nothing makes good impression than a person with clear mind and right approach.

  1. Dress Well, Don’t Over Do!

From the moment you enter in the Interview hall, till your reply to the first question- Interviewer has already drawn an opinion about you. The impression has been made from the way you’re dressed, the way you sit and greet the panel.

  1. Be Sure of Banking Sector

The questions can be asked from any topic such as banking awareness, current affairs, economy, basic questions from education background, career objectives, related to job and many more. Be ready with the current news happening around as a lot of banking and finance questions will be asked in IBPS PO Interview.
