February 04, 2021: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) held the IBPS PO 2020 Mains paper on February 4, 2021 in a smooth and organized way at various examination centers. The exam was conducted in compliance with COVID-19 guidelines.
The Institute conducted the IBPS PO 2020 (Mains) for 3.5 hours from 09:00 am to 12:30 pm. The paper was divided into 4 sections namely Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation for which a total of 225 marks were awarded.

The questions asked in the Mains paper are a blend of objective as well as descriptive questions. The paper was overall moderate in terms of difficulty level. To check the section-wise difficulty level and analysis of the paper, read below.

There are 2 questions asked under the descriptive section from letter and essay. These constitute a total of 25 marks. The total time duration allotted for this section was 30 minutes. The letter writing part consisted of questions for a minimum word limit of 150 words.
The topics were Complaining about the damaged electronic product to the shopkeeper, Loan-related, A letter to the editor for raising awareness about grammatical errors due to texting apps in the youngsters. The essay question had a word limit of 250 words. The topics for the essay were Work From Home due to COVID-19, and Inflation- Cost of Living.
