CDS 2017 Result for phase I has been announced on March 20, 2017. The total number of 8548 candidates with the following Roll Numbers have qualified for the Interview round. CDS (Combined Defense Services) 2017 exam was conducted on February 05, 2017. Candidates can check their result on the official website of UPSC i.e.

The candidates who have successfully qualified the exam will be called for next round i.e. SSB (Service Selection Board) Interview. SSB interview call letters will be issued only to the qualified candidates. The final selection is based on the performance in the written test and Interview.

CDS is the national level exam conducted by UPSC. The exam was scheduled in offline (pan and paper based) mode. Objective Type Questions were asked from three subjects- English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics. The duration of the exam was 2 hours.

How to Download CDS 2017 Scorecard

CDS 2017 result was announced on March 20, 2017. Candidates are required to check their result on the official website of UPSC. The result is released in the form of scorecard. The CDS 2017 Scorecard will contain the following information like Name, Registration number, Rank, Marks etc. After the announcement of CDS 2017 Result, shortlisted applicants will go for next level i.e. Personal Interview.

Candidates who have appeared for CDS written test can check their result by following these steps as mentioned below.

  1. Visit the official website of UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)
  2. Click on the link “CDS 2017 Result”
  3. Enter your Roll number and Date of birth and open result window
  4. The result will be displayed on the screen
  5. Download your scorecard
  6. Take the printout for future reference

Important Guidelines for CDS 2017 Result

Here are the important guideline for the qualified candidates

  • The applicants who qualify the written test, only eligible for Interview round
  • Candidates who has successfully qualified the written test, need to register themselves for SSB Interview
  • Candidates need to secure minimum qualifying marks secretly in the written test and SSB Interview
  • The merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance of the candidates in the written examination
  • The final selection will be based on the written test, SSB Interview and Medical exam of selected candidates

CDS 2017 Selection Process

Applicants who will qualify the written test will be called for the Interview round. The candidates who obtain the minimum marks as per the CDS 2017 Cut off qualify for the CDS 2017 Selection Process. The final selection is based on the following steps.

  1. Written Test
  2. Personal Interview
  3. Document Verification
  4. Medical Examination of Selected Candidates

Written Test

CDS Written test is the first and main step of the selection process. It is conducted twice a year and is an objective type offline examination. It comprises of 3 papers of 2 hours duration each. Applicants must qualify the written test to go for next step of selection process i.e. Personal Interview.

Personal Interview

The second step of selection process in Personal Interview. The personal interview is a two stage process which involves the conduction of the two tests introduced by the Service Selection Board (SSB). The candidates are sent for stage 1 on the first reporting day at selection centers. The candidates who clear the stage 1 of the examination qualify for the stage 2. The candidates who fail to qualify the first stage are returned by the Selection Board.

Documents Verification

The third stage of selection process is documents verification. Candidates must bring all the required documents on the day of personal Interview. Else they cannot sit for Interview round. Here is the list of documents bring at the selection center.

  • Qualification Certificates
  • Proof of Identity (Pan Card, Aadhar Card, Voter ID etc.)
  • Birth Certificate
  • Passport Size Photographs
  • Category Certificate for the Reserved Category Candidates
  • Proof of Residence

Medical Examination of Candidates

The most important step of the CDS 2017 Selection Process is the last step i.e. medical examination. It is done to assure that the candidate is medically or physically fit for the position candidate applied for. The candidate has to clears this step completely to qualify for the training program.

CDS 1 2017 Expected Cut off

After the announcement of CDS 1 2017 Result, the cutoff will be decided by UPSC after taking into various factors. Cut off score are the minimum marks that the candidates must score to be eligible for next round i.e. Personal Interview for selection process.
