October 28, 2020: Union Public Service Commission has started the application process for Combined Defense Services Examination for interested and eligible candidates. Candidates who wish to apply for the exam can do so by visiting the official website of UPSC Aspirants need to fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned by the Union Public Service Commission in order to apply for the Combined Defense Services Examination. The last date to apply for the Combined Defense Services Examination is November 17, 2020. 

After the exam qualification, candidates will be further called for the document verification process and Personality test conducted by the UPSC exam authority.

Combined Defense Services Examination 2020: Seat Availability

Combined Defense Services Examination online application made by the candidate can be withdrawn from November 24, 2020, to November 30, 2020. After that, candidates won't be able to withdraw their application. The openings available under the Combined Defense Services are as follow:

Combined Defense Services Examination 2020: How to Apply?

Candidates are strictly advised to use a black ball pen to fill up the OMR sheet. COVID-19 precautions will be followed during the conduction of the examination. 

Students need to follow the instructions given on their Combined Defense Services Admit Card. Students failed to do so will have to face penalties by the exam authority. 

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the Combined Defense Services Examination can apply for the exam by following the steps mentioned below:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of Union Public Service Commission
  • Step 2: From the homepage, click on the latest "ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC” Link and click on the "CDS I” Exam link. 
  • Step 3: Read the instructions carefully and click on "yes" to continue.
  • Step 4: Enter your personal details such as name, gender, nationality, etc, and education qualification.
  • Step 5: Login into your account with the help of generated ID and Password, and Click on "CDS-1"< "Click here for part II".
  • Step 5: Enter the details and click on "submit" to continue. 
  • Step 6: Select your mode of payment and make the admission fee through credit, debit, or net banking mode.
  • Step 7: Upload the required document, enter your details, and click on "continue".
  • Verify your details, and click on "submit" to complete your registration process.

Eligible candidates will be issued with an E-Admit card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. 

The E-Admit Card for the exam will be made available for candidates to download on the official website of the Union Public Services Commission.
