The Union Public Service Commission which is in charge of conducting CDS I and II exam have recently released a notice with the list rejected application forms. The rejection was done due to the non-payment of the fees. The list has names of ten candidates whose forms had been rejected for this reason. The candidates can appeal to CDS regarding the rejection of their application form within 10 days. The application process for CDS II had closed on august 25, 2020 and candidates had the provision to make payments till this date. For offline fees payment, the last date was August 24, 2020. The provision to withdraw the form is available from September 7, 2020 to September 13, 2020. However, the fees will not be refunded in such case. The application fees for CDS was INR 200 for general and OBC while the reserved categories and female candidates were exempted from the payment of the fees. Also read- UPSC IAS 2020 latest notice
Candidates whose application form has been accepted by the Commission will receive the admit card for the exam three weeks before the exam commence. They are advised to keep a close tab on the official website of UPSC for updates regarding the same. Once the admit card is made available, the candidates have to log in using their username and password and download the admit card.
The CDS exam is conducted for recruiting eligible candidates for IMA, INA and AFA. The written exam comprises of two sections- General Knowledge and English. The total duration of the exam is 6 hours- 2 hours for each section. The total marks for IMA, INA and AFA are 300 and for OTA it is 200.
