The Union Public Service Commission will be releasing the admit card for CDS 2 2020 soon. The candidates who have applied for the exam can download the admit card from the official website of UPSC. Once the admit card is released the link will be made live and hence can be downloaded by login into the website using the respective registration number and password. The following steps are to be abided by in order to download the admit card:

  • Visit the official website of UPSC.
  • Once the link is live, you will find it in the latest notice section. Click on the link.
  • You will be redirected to a login page where you have to enter the registration number and password to log in.
  • After signing in, you will be redirected to the pdf of the admit card. Download and save a copy for future reference and take a print out for the exam center.

Once you get the admit card, check whether all the credentials are correctly mentioned. If there is any mistake or discrepancy, then make sure you contact the relevant authorities at the earliest. On the day of the exam you have to carry the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the exam center. Missing out on either of the two means you will not be allowed in the exam hall.

The CDS exam is conducted twice every year and the candidates have to qualify the written test in order to be selected for interview. The paper contain three sections which are English, general knowledge, and elementary mathematics. The total duration is 6 hours for the exam- 2 hours for each section. For OTA, the exam duration is four hours. The final selection is done based on the written test and the SSB interview.
