October 10, 2020: The Central Board of Secondary Education has cleared the doubts about the examination date of CTET 2020.

The rescheduled dates for the CTET 2020 Examination will be announced after reviewing the COVID-19 situation. 

CTET 2020 Examination was scheduled to be conducted on July 5, 2020. The exam was later postponed due to the coronavirus situation in the states.

The reschedule exam dates are yet to be released by the exam authority.

The Central Board of Examination in its recent tweet said," The next date of examination will be intimated when the situation is more conducive for the conduct of examinations. You may visit the CTET website i.e. for related updates".

CTET 2020 Examination Highlights

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is conducted in the month of July and December, every year.

In 2020, the July examinations were postponed due to the increasing cases of Coronavirus in the state and lockdown restrictions. 

The registration process for CTET for the year 2020 started from January 24, 2020 to March 2, 2020. CBSE will announce the release date for CTET 2020 admit card and CTET 2020 examination soon.

CTET 2020 Examination Details

Every year CTET 2020 examination is conducted to test the abilities of eligible teachers for teaching classes up to 8th.

More than 25 lakh students appear for the CTET examination every year.

In 2020, over 30 lakh students registered for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2020 July examination.

However, the exam has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

The examination authority is to ensure the safety of students, and accordingly, arrangements have to be made for students appearing for the exam. 

CTET 2020 Examination will be conducted via offline means. Students will have to answer a total of 150 Multiple choice questions in 150 minutes. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. 

Students will be given one mark for one correct answer. CTET 2020 Syllabus includes subjects like Development and Pedagogy, Languages, Environmental Studies, Maths, Science, and Social Studies.
