Madhya Pradesh Primary School Teacher Eligibility Test (MP TET), is a state-level examination conducted by Madhya Pradesh Professional Education Board (MPPEB). Through MP TET candidates for the profile of primary school teaching at government schools are selected.

Candidates willing to pursue a career as a Lower Primary Teacher, Upper Primary Teacher or Secondary School Teacher need to qualify MP TET. The application process for MP TET takes place online. However, the examination is pen-paper based.

Lower Primary Teachers recruited by MPPEB get a monthly salary of INR 17,700, Upper Primary Teachers get INR 22,960, and Secondary School Teachers get INR 25,340 for the first year.

MP TET 2021 Eligibility

Aspiring candidates need to meet certain eligibility criteria in order to apply for MP TET. These requirements include:

  • Age Limit: Candidates must be of 21 years or above.
  • Educational Qualification
    • Candidates must have a B. Ed degree with a 50% aggregate score OR must have cleared a 2-year BTC program from a well-recognized university.
    • Candidates must have completed B.Ed or SPL B.Ed from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.

MP TET 2021 How to Register?

Candidates who qualify the eligibility criteria can apply for the Madhya Pradesh TET exam online. Here is the step by step process for MP TET online application:

Part 1: Getting Registered

  • Visit the official website of MPPEB (http://peb.mp.gov.in/).
  • Checkmark the declaration box below the ‘Declaration of Candidate’ section and click ‘Continue’.
  • A new window will open, where you will find the ‘Profile Registration’ option. If you have a pre-registered profile ID, click on ‘YES’ otherwise click on ‘NO’.
  • Enter your Contact Number and Email Address to obtain an OTP.
  • Once you enter the OTP, you will receive your Profile ID and Password on the registered mobile number.
  • Below the ‘Profile Login’ section, fill in the necessary information, and confirm.
  • After that, you will have to complete your eKYC by entering your Aadhar Card Number.
  • In order to complete eKYC through OTP, you will need to enter your Aadhar Card number and click generate eKYC OTP.

Part 2: Filling the Form

  • Once you get registered successfully, you will be able to login using the profile ID and Password provided to you.
  • Next, fill in all the personal and educational information required.
  • Afterward, upload a scanned image of your signature and photograph. (Note: the photograph should be of 4cm x 5cm and should not be more than three months old from the date of application.)
  • Next, fill in your category name and category number, if you belong to an unreserved category.
  • Once you have completed filling the entire form, recheck all the details carefully.
  • Click on ‘Submit’ to submit your application.
  • Also, take a print out of the application for future purposes.

Part 3: Application Fee Payment

  • After submitting your application form successfully, it’s time for paying the fees.
  • MPTET application fee will have to be paid online using any Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking/ UPI.
  • Also, the fees for different categories are different. The table below shows the number of fees to be paid by candidates based on their categories.

Important: For application form correction, the fee for general category candidates is INR 40 and for reserved category candidates is INR 20.

  • There are a total of 150 questions for paper 1 and 210 questions for paper 2.
  • Each question carries 1 mark.
  • There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

MPTET Admit Card

MP TET 2021 Admit Card

MP TET Admit Card is usually released before one to two weeks of the examination. MP TET 2021 admit card will contain details like application number, applicant name, exam center, exam time, and date. The procedure for downloading the MP TET admit card is as follows:

  1. Go to the official website of MPPEB (http://peb.mp.gov.in/).
  2. Click on the ‘Admit Card’ link.
  3. Enter your application/registration number and date of birth and click on ‘Submit’.
  4. Your MP TET admit card will then appear on the screen.
  5. You can download as well as take a print out of the card.

Important: Do keep a couple of extra print outs of the admit card with you on the day of examination.

MP TET Exam Results

MP TET results are typically declared within a month after the completion of the exam. Candidates will be recruited on the basis of the cut off marks given above. The procedure to check MP TET exam results is:

  2. Click on the link stating MP TET results.
  3. Enter your application number and password.
  4. Your result will appear on the screen

Points to note:

  • MP TET exam results will be declared as “Qualified” or “Disqualified”. No marks for any subject will be shown to the candidate.
  • After successfully verifying all the educational documents, candidates will get the appointment letter.
MPTET Salary

MP TET 2021 Salary Structure

MPPEB appoints candidates as teachers at government schools in Madhya Pradesh. The salary structure for Lower Primary, Upper Primary, and Secondary school teachers is different. MP TET salary structure has been defined on the basis of the new rules and regulations. Apart from the salary, teachers also get allowances such as dearness allowance and house rent allowance.
