KVPY 2020-21 Admit Card (Released)/ Hall Ticket: Check Exam Centers

KVPY Admit Card 2020-21 has been released on 4 January 2021 by the exam conducting authority. Candidates can download KVPY hall ticket in online mode only from kvpy.iisc.ernet.in by logging in with their application number and date of birth. On the day of the examination, the candidates have to carry the KVPY admit card along with the other required documents.

How to Download KVPY Admit Card 2020-21?

• The process to download KVPY Admit Card is completely online.
• Candidates can obtain their admit card by logging in with their KVPY Application Number and Date of Birth.
• It should be noted that the hall ticket is not mailed or sent to the candidates by post.

Here are the steps to download KVPY Admit Card:

Step 1: Visit the official website of KVPY i.e. kvpy.iisc.ernet.in

Step 2: Login to your KVPY Application Form

Step 3: Click on ‘KVPY Admit Card 2020-21’ tab

Step 4: Select ‘Assessment’ from the drop down.

Step 5: Click on ‘Search’ tab

Step 6: Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth (dd/mm/yyyy). Click on Login.

Step 7: You will be redirected to your KVPY Admit Card 2020-21

Step 8: Save the admit card and take its print out.

What After Downloading KVPY Admit Card?

1. Once you have the KVPY Admit Card in hand, cross-check all the details mentioned on it.
2. In case of an incorrect detail, you must contact the authority immediately.
3. In case, your photograph/ signature is blur, carry a photograph to the exam hall along with a photo ID in the original.

Discrepancy in KVPY Admit Card 

In case there is any discrepancy in the details mentioned on KVPY Admit Card, a candidate should immediately contact the concerned authorities for a solution. If you do not alert the authorities before the examination, you might have to face problem on the exam day.

• If your name is misspelt in KVPY Admit Card
• If your PwD/DA status is incorrect in KVPY hall ticket

Documents Required at KVPY Exam Center 

• A candidate is required to bring an original and Xerox copy of a valid photo ID proof along with KVPY Admit Card.
• Candidates applying under reserved categories are also advised to carry the original copy of their Caste/Disability certificate on the day of the exam.
• Those who have changed their names with due procedure should also carry their respective document along with their KVPY Admit Card. Check KVPY Eligibility 

Candidates appearing for KVPY 2020-21 should carry any one of the following documents as their photo identity proof to KVPY Exam Center:

1. Passport
2. PAN Card
3. Voter ID
4. Aadhar UID
5. Driving License

Items Barred at KVPY Exam Center

• Any electronic material such as watch, microphone, Bluetooth, earphone, mobile, health band, calculator, pager and pieces/bits of paper, pencil box etc. is not allowed inside the exam hall.
• It is recommended to wear open footwear not closed shoes.
• Candidates are also advised not to put mehendi or any cosmetic color on their hands as it may cause error while doing digital fingerprint scan recording on the exam day.
• They cannot sit for the exam unless they clear the fingerprint scanning.

KVPY Admit Card Instructions

The importance of KVPY Admit Card is not limited to just the exam day. It is also required during the subsequent selection stages. It is important for a candidate to be well aware of the instructions KVPY Admit Card will carry. Read them below:

• A candidate must not spoil or mutilate KVPY Admit Card.
• Candidates must also not change any entry made therein. For any changes in the information given on the admit card, contact the exam authority to the earliest.
• Candidates are required to preserve their KVPY admit cards in good condition till the entire selection process is over.
• Do not carry any unfair item or any other document except admit card at the exam center for KVPY.
• Any mutilated, altered or invalid admit card will lead to cancellation of your candidature.
• Also, carry multiple copies of KVPY Hall Ticket in exam hall.

Important Exam Day Guidelines

• Locate your test center – Make sure that you reach the right test center on the exam day. Check KVPY Admit Card for the address of exam center and visit it before at least 30 minutes before given exam time.
• Avoid last minute preparations – If you have not prepared for some topic so far, it is advisable to not start it just before few hours for the test. Neither would you be able to grasp it nor revise topics you prepared already. It is ok to leave out few topics. Otherwise, it will create confusion and panic at the last moment.
• Relax and stay confident - Relaxation should be the main mantra a day before your KVPY 2020-21 exam. You have worked very hard so far and even if you have not, you cannot make it up in few hours, so the best way is to relax yourself. Confidence is the only key to success, so do not be nervous at all.
• Revision – Revise your shortcuts very well. You will need them during exams to solve your paper at the given time.
• Required Documents and Materials – Make sure you kept all the required documents such as KVPY 2020-21 admit card, ID, etc. along with pen and pencil.

KVPY Exam Center 2020-21

• KVPY is held in 54 different centers defined in the 18 states of the country.
• The choice of selecting preferred KVPY Exam Center is available at the time of registration
• For Candidates in the Differently Abled category (Low vision and Cerebral Palsy), Wheel Chairs will be made available at the test center according to the preference filled in the application form. 
• IISC will preferably try to allot the chosen KVPY Exam Centers filled by the candidates in the application form.

KVPY Selection Process

KVPY Selection Procedure this year is varied according to the participating institutes. Majorly there are two steps of KVPY selection procedure. First one is the KVPY exam itself and the second one is interview rounds conducted by the institutes. Candidates will be shortlisted for the second round that is for the Personal Interview round on the basis of KVPY Score. There are in all 20 interview centers for KVPY. Check KVYP Merit List 

IISc follow the below-given steps for the KVPY Selection Procedure 2020-21.

1. Result and Shortlisting

• After the declaration of KVPY Result, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of KVPY score percentile and cut off for all IISc.
• The list of shortlisted candidates will be made available on the websites of individual IISc.
• Each IISc will send the call letters to the shortlisted candidates.
• The shortlisting criteria vary from IISc to IISc

2. Selection Process

• This round of selection may vary according to the institutes.
• This round includes Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interviews (PI).
• Admission authorities may also include the other factors like –

1. To test the knowledge in the field of Science, Research to check if the applicant is actually capable and deserves the scholarship.
2. There is a round of questions based on current affairs and subjects studied by the candidates namely physics, chemistry, mathematics or biology.
