The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts the Indian Economic Services (IES) and Indian Statical Services (ISS) Exams every year. It is a national level exam for various government exams. The commission issues the list of Exam Centres along with the official notification. The recruitment has two stages- written exam and personal interview. The candidates have to choose one exam center for the exam while filling up the application form.
The exam center is allotted on a first-come-first-serve basis hence, applying at the earliest can ensure that you are allotted the exam center of your choice. Once the allotment is done, it will not be changed. The candidates get the allotment details in their admit card.
Though the students are not allowed to change the exam center allocated to them, the deciding body definitely factors in their choices while making the decision. In case the candidates have necessary concerns regarding the allocated center, they can contact the authorities. However, the final decision still depends upon the body of UPSC, and they might or might not change it as deemed fit.
