HPTET popularly known as Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is organized by HPBSE to determine the eligibility of candidates for recruitment as Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) in Arts/ Non-Medical/ Medical/ Shastri/ L.T/ JBT/ Punjabi/ Urdu Subjects. As per the latest notification, the HPTET Certificate will e valid for the lifetime. 

The HPTET Application form has been released on May 24, 2021. The last date to apply is June 13, 2021, without the late fees. The HPTET Exam is expected to be conducted from July 04, 10, 11, & 18, 2021. To prepare for the exam, candidates can download the HPTET Previous papers here.

HPTET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

HPTET Eligibility Criteria 2021 varies slightly according to the stream and subject opted by candidates for the test. Given below is the table containing the eligibility criteria for various disciplines:

HPTET 2021 Eligibility: Important Points

  • No upper age limit is specified by the Board to apply for HP TET 2021.
  • Relaxation up to 5% in minimum score in qualifying examination and in the HP TET qualifying score is permissible for reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PHH).
  • Candidates pursuing any of the listed teacher training programs in its final year (recognized by NCTE/RCI) are also eligible to apply for HP TET 2021
  • Qualifying the TET without fulfilling the eligibility conditions as specified could lead to non-consideration for an appointment
Application Form

HPTET 2021 Application Form

HPTET 2021 Registration can be done in online mode only. HPTET 2021 Application Form has been released on May 24, 2021, at the official website – hpbose.org. 

Aspirants can apply for the different posts till 13, 2021 without paying the late fine. On the other hand, Candidates can fill the HPTET Application form from June 14 to June 18, 2021, as well by paying a late fee of Rs 300. The late fee is in addition to the application fee.

Steps to fill HPTET 2021 Application Form 

Step 1: Visit the official website and click on the ‘New Candidate Register’ Tab

Step 2: Record personal/general information, such as Subject Appearing for, Applicant Name, DOB, Nationality, Category, Sex, Mobile Number and Email ID, complete Address details, Exam Center preference, as specified in the given fields.

Step 3: Upload scanned images of the following:

Signature dimensions: 3.5 cm X 1.5 cm; File Type: JPG; File size: upto15 KB

Step 4: Next, the fees can be deposited through an integrated payment gateway via Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking.

Step 5: Finally, accept the declaration and submit the form. A confirmation page is generated with the application number indicated on it. Obtain a printout of the same for future reference. 

HPTET 2021 Application Fee

HPTET 2021 Application fee is to be paid online through the integrated payment gateway on the official portal during the application process. The requisite transaction charges need to be borne by the applicants. The specific fee is tabulated below according to different categories.

HPTET 2021 Admit Card

HPTET 2021 Admit Card is expected to be released in the month of July 2021. Candidates can download the hall ticket by logging in with their Application Number and Date of Birth.

  • HPTET 2021 Admit Card is issued only to candidates who have successfully submitted the form before the deadline.
  • Admit Card will contain Applicant’s Name, Roll Number, Photograph, Signature, Test Center Address and Test Schedule.
  • Applicants need to check the details printed on the Admit Card and immediately report discrepancies, if any, to the Board.
  • In case admit card is not accessible on the website, the applicant is advised to the Board’s Office with a copy of the confirmation page

The board has allocated 71 locations for HPTET 2021. The list can be accessed on the official website. Applicants can specify their preference for Test Center while filling the HPTET Application form.

The HPTET test centre once allotted cannot be changed. The board reserves the right to allot/change or cancel any test centre at its discretion. Below is the list of exam centres:

HPTET 2021 Result will be declared on the official website. Applicants can download the results using their Application Number or Roll Number. The steps to access the result are mentioned below:

  1. Visit the Official Website.
  2. Click on the HPTET 2021 Result link.
  3. Enter either your Application Number or Roll Number.
  4. Check the result displayed on the screen.
  5. Download and obtain a print of the same for future reference.

Prior to the announcement of the HPTET 2021 result, the Board would upload the Provisional Answer Key on its website for applicants to get an estimate of their probable test scores. Based on these Answer Keys, the final result would be announced online.
