DMRC 2020 Selection Process comprises three stages primarily written exam, group discussion and personal interview. Candidates have to qualify all these stages to be recruited for the desired post. There stages in the DMRC Selection Process vary for different posts.

DMRC written exam is scheduled on different dates for different posts. It is conducted in two sessions on the same day i.e. Paper I and Paper II with objective type questions. Paper I tests the aptitude and technical skills of the candidate while Paper II tests the language (English) skills of the candidate.

The Group Discussion round tests whether the candidate has certain personality traits and skills that are desired for the particular post. It helps to test verbal communication and non- verbal behavior of the candidate. The jury gets to know about the cooperation ability and decision making ability of the candidate.

The personality test or interview is a questioning round which is the final step for the selection process for DMRC. The questions asked in DMRC interview range from questions about Educational Qualification, Extra-curricular activities, Personal life, work experience, outlook on contemporary issues, etc.

DMRC Selection Process for various posts

Candidates are recruited to various executive or non-executive posts through DMRC. There are a total of 3428 vacancies offered by DMRC with maximum vacancies for maintainer post (non-executive) i.e. 1393 posts. The details of the selection process followed for different posts is given below:

DMRC Selection Process for Assistant Manager (E01- 06)

The DMRC Recruitment to the post of Asstt. Manager (Electrical, Civil, S&T, Operations, HR and Finance) includes three levels of the selection process. The candidates have to qualify each stage to be recruited to the desired post. The order of stages of the DMRC Selection Process are given below:

  • Written Examination
  • GDPI (Group Discussion and Personal Interview)
  • Medical Examination in Executive/ Technical/ Non-technical category or the adjudging the degree of disability in the required category as the case may be.

DMRC Selection Process for SC/TO (NE 01) and CRA (NE 02)

The DMRC Recruitment to the post of Station Controller/Train Operator (NE 01) and Customer Relations Assistant (CRA) is a four-stage process. The candidates with minimum scores given in the DMRC Cut off at each stage are recruited to the desired post. The various stages in the DMRC Selection Process are given below:

  • Written Examination
  • Psycho Test (Qualifying in nature)
  • Personal Interview
  • Medical Examination in Aye-one category

DMRC Selection Process for JE (NE 03-06)

It is a non-executive post that has the maximum applications per year. The selection process to be recruited to this post is a 3 stage process. The candidates have to qualify all the stages given below with minimum scores given in the DMRC Cutoff to be recruited to this post:

  • Written Test
  • Personal Interview
  • Medical examinations in Aye-one category not below Aye-three

DMRC Selection Process for Account Asstt. (NE 07)

The Account Asstt. is a non-executive post offered by DMRC. The selection process for recruitment to the given post is a two-stage process. There is no interview for this post. The candidate is recruited to this post on the basis of their performance in the stages of the selection process given below:

  • Written Examination
  • Medical Examination in Cee one category

DMRC Selection Process for Maintainer (NE 08)

DMRC has released maximum vacancies for the post of Maintainer i.e. 1393 vacancies. Candidates have to qualify each stage of the selection process to be recruited to the given post and the required specification. There will be no interview for this post. The various stages of the DMRC Selection process for Maintainer is given below:

  • Written Examination
  • Medical Examination in Bee-One category

DMRC Selection Process for Stenographer

The DMRC Recruitment to the post of Stenographer is a three-stage process. There is no interview for this post. The candidates who want to be recruited to the desired post have to score marks equivalent to or more than the minimum scores given in the DMRC Cutoff. The stages of DMRC Selection Process are given below:

  • Written Examination
  • Skill test (qualifying in nature)
  • Medical Examination

Physical Standards

In order to be selected by the process of DMRC recruitment, candidates must satisfy the medical fitness criteria as well. According to the various posts, the criteria of physical standards tend to vary. It is important to check the specific details for a post, before applying.

DMRC 2020 physical standards that a candidate must meet are given below:

  • All candidates will be required to undergo some medical fitness tests.
  • If the candidate is taking the medical exam for the first time, the expenses will be paid by DMRC.
  • If a candidate seeks extension for joining or re-examination, then the second time medical examination’s expenditure will have to be borne by the candidate.
  • A noteworthy point is that applicants who have undergone Lasik surgery are not suitable for any posts other than Office Assistant, Account Assistant and Stenographer.

In addition to the written examination, the candidate must clear the medical test to be selected by DMRC. Those who fail to pass the exam by desired standards will not be given any other job. The final decision will be taken by Delhi Metro Railway Corporation in this case.

DMRC Salary Allowance for Executive Posts

The minimum salary offered for the executive posts (Assistant Manager) offered through DMRC 2020 is INR 20,600. The candidate recruited to this post is paid INR 46500 as the maximum salary. The maximum number of vacancies is offered to the maintainer post but it is comparatively the least paid post. The minimum salary offered to the candidate recruited to non-executive post is INR 8000 while the maximum salary is INR 25520.
