Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), has issued a job notification stating that it will hire over 1800 candidates at As per the notification, the recruitment drive is open for the posts of Assistant Programmer, Fire Inspector, Librarian, Maintainer, Office Assistant, Assistant Manager, Junior Engineer, Customer Relations Assistant (CRA), Station Controller / Train Operator (SC/TO), Legal Assistant, and Store Assistant. Notably, candidates can apply for more than one post as per their qualifications for DMRC Recruitment 2020.

  • The selected candidates are likely to be posted at Delhi/NCR or any other projects of DMRC, anywhere in India.
  • DMRC Recruitment 2020 Exam Pattern varies for each post. DMRC Exam is divided into two papers scheduled on the same day.
  • The negative marking system is present only in some of the selected entrance examinations conducted all over India.
  • In DMRC recruitment 2020 entrance exam, there will be a deduction of 1/3 mark for each and every wrong answer attempted.

DMRC Recruitment 2020 Exam Pattern in Detail

All questions are of MCQ type (multiple choice questions) with 4 options for each question and overall time duration for DMRC recruitment 2020 including Paper 1 and Paper 2 is 2 hours and 15 minutes. The students have to complete the aptitude test in the first paper and the General English Test in the second paper. 

The following are the important information regarding DMRC Recruitment 2020 Exam Pattern.

  • The total number of multiple-choice questions (MCQ) in the DMRC Recruitment 2020 exam is 180 and each question carries one mark.
  • 120 questions in Paper 1 are to be completed within a time duration of 90 minutes and 60 questions in Paper 2 to be completed within 45 minutes.
  • The exam is conducted for a total of 180 marks.
  • There is a provision for negative marking in DMRC Recruitment 2020 Exam Pattern.
  • The aspirants will be deducted 1/3 marks for every incorrect answer.

The total marks for DMRC Recruitment 2020 are 180 marks and the total number of questions is 180. A negative marking system exists in DMRC Recruitment 2020. The below scheme is used for marking in DMRC Recruitment 2020.

  • Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark.
  • Each wrong answer will result in a deduction of 1/3 mark.
  • Unanswered questions will receive no marks.

Important Instructions

The following are the important instructions to be taken into account by applicants regarding DMRC recruitment 2020 exam pattern:

  • Candidates must attend and practice the mock tests given in the DMRC website to understand paper pattern and time allocation.
  • Aspirants must possess good speed of reading.
  • Hall tickets for DMRC recruitment 2020 exam will not be sent by post.
  • Candidates must report to the test centre one hour before the scheduled time for DMRC recruitment 2020 exam.
  • Those not reporting on time are likely to miss some of the general instructions related to the test.
  • They will be given an on-site orientation before the test commences.
  • Candidates arriving after the on-site orientation begins will not be allowed to take DMRC recruitment 2020 exam.
  • The test hall will be opened 30 minutes before the commencement of DMRC recruitment 2020 exam.
  • The candidate must ensure that whether the computer allotted to him or her is working properly without any problem. If the allocated computer has any hardware or software problems, it must be reported to the exam invigilator immediately.

Hi Divakar. All the candidates are supposed to clear some medical fitness tests. It must be noted that expenses of the medical examination, taken for the first time, by the candidate will be paid for by DMRC.

Hi Sheetal. Yes, there will be medical test in the DMRC exams. the standards of Medical Examination in DMRC include Distance Vision: 6/6, 6/6 without glasses/contact lens; Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 without glasses/ contact lens (must clear fogging test), etc.
