CGPSC (Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission) examinations are very prestigious and one of the most sought after examinations by the students of Chhattisgarh, as well as students from other states. These exams are a part of the SSE (Staff Service Examination). They recruit candidates for State Police Service, State Finance Service, Deputy Registrar, Assistant Director, CG Subordinate Account Service Officer, Assistant Superintendent, Labour Officer, Assistant Jail Officer and other offices of the Government of Chhattisgarh. These exams consist of three phases- Preliminary Exams, Main Exams, and Personal Interview. CGPSC Eligibility

Eligibility for CGPSC 2021

Following is the list of criteria that check the eligibility of the candidates to appear for the CGPSC Examinations. The students must go through all the criteria mentioned here and the syllabus provided on the official website very carefully before applying for the examination.

  • All the candidates appearing for the exam must be the citizens of India.
  • The candidates need a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or a substituting diploma of three years in any discipline from any recognised university or institution.
  • The minimum age for any candidate is 21 years.
  • The maximum age for students from General Category who are not a resident of Chhattisgarh is 30 years.
  • The maximum age for students from General Category who are a resident or a native of Chhattisgarh is 35 years.
  • OBC/SC/ST candidates native to the state of Chhatisgarh can apply between 21 years and 40 years of age.
  • Widows from other states applying for the first time may do so between 21 years and 35 years of age.
  • Widows from Chhattisgarh applying for the first time may do so between 21 years and 40 years of age.
  • Candidates from other states holding a Green Card under the Family Welfare Program can apply between the age of 21 years and 32 years.
  • Candidates from Chhattisgarh holding a Green Card under the Family Welfare Program can apply between the age of 21 years and 37 years.
  • If the aspirant is an athlete or a sportsperson from Chhattisgarh and has received any of the Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Award, Gundadhur Samman, Maharaja Pravirchandra Bhanjdev Samman, or Rashtriya Yuva award, he/she can apply within the age of 21 years and 40 years.
  • If the aspirant is an athlete or a sportsperson from any other state and has received any of the Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Award, Gundadhur Samman, Maharaja Pravirchandra Bhanjdev Samman, or Rashtriya Yuva award, he/she can apply within the age of 21 years and 35 years.
  • The age limit for any resident of Chhattisgarh who is an ex-serviceman or a commissioned officer is 21 years and 40 years.
  • The age limit for a resident of another state who is an ex-serviceman or a commissioned officer is 21 years and 35 years.
  • All the applicants must meet the basic physical criteria required for Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission posts for selection.
  • The students applying for the posts of Police Officer, Inspector or Jailor must go through the physical requirements for each post and check if they are eligible. The requirements are as follows
