APPSC Group 1 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

  • The interested candidates, who are willing to apply for the APPSC Group 1 exam, should be Indian.
  • In addition, the interested applicants should belong from the Andhra Pradesh Domicile.

Age Group

  • For postcode number: 01, 02, 06, 07, and 09 to 19: The aspirants should be belonging from the age group of 18 years and 42 years.
  • For postcode number 03 and 04: The age group of the interested candidates should be between 21 years and 28 years.
  • For postcode number 05: The age group of the interested candidates should be between 21 years and 26 years.
  • For postcode number 08: The age group of the interested candidates should be between 18 years and 26 years.

Lastly, two eye’s tests will be conducted of the aspirants for examining any abnormality in their eyes is present or not.

Educational Qualification

Post Name Educational Qualification
District Fire Officers in A.P. Fire Service. From any recognised University, the aspirants should qualify the Degree in Engineering (Fire). However, if the aspirants would not have B.E (Fire) qualifications then any equivalent degree will be considered.
Asst. Treasury Officer/Asst. Accounts Officer in A.P. Treasury & Accounts Service The interested aspirants should have a degree in Economics or Mathematics or Commerce from any UGC affiliated University with at least 2nd class in the subject. Apart from this, the candidates can also be Chartered Accountants of the United Kingdom or India or the incorporated Accountant (London).
District Social Welfare Officer in A.P. Social Welfare Service The candidates should complete the bachelor’s degree from an affiliated Indian University or from any Central Act or State Act or Provincial Act Affiliated Institution by the University Grants Commission. The candidates, who will acquire a degree in Social Work or Sociology, can also apply for this post.

What to do if the entry and exit of the APPSC admit card is inconsistent?

The APPSC admit cards for the Group I services reflect the official records of the candidates and the committee. There are very few differences in the details mentioned in the APPSC Group 1 admit cards because there is no manual intervention when preparing the admit cards.

In case of any discrepancy in the APPSC Hall Ticket for the group 1 services, the candidates need to inform the commission immediately and do the needful to rectify the errors.

APPSC Selection Process

APPSC Group 1 Selection Process

There will be three stages of rounds to be selected as the APPSC Group 1 2021 Examination.

Stage 1: APPSC Group 1 Prelims (Screening) Test

The screening exam will be conducted in 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. The APPSC Group 1 admit card will be released before seven days of the examination. However, the score of APPSC Group 1 Prelims exam will not be considered in the final merit list. Only this score will be considered for appearing in the second round of the examination.

Stage 2: APPSC Group 1 Main Exam

This is the conventional type exam, which will be conducted in offline mode. The score of the Main exam will be calculated for preparing the merit list. The aspirants will have to answer seven conventional essay types questions.

Stage 3: APPSC Group 1 Interview

This is the final round of the exam, which will be conducted to the commission’s office in Vijaywada. To appear for the exam, the aspirants have to submit the original documents and these are:
